Oklahoma is home to many native orchids. Unfortunately these wild orchids do not make very good house plants.  Our native orchids have evolved over time to survive in certain environmental conditions.  Removing plants from their native habitat is likely a death sentence.  Also picking their flowers inhibits future colonies. If you want to help your native orchids:  takes pictures, note their location/surroundings, and report your observations to the Oklahoma Orchid Society.
