OOS members love to bring their beautiful orchids to the monthly meeting’s “show table” and share with others their cultural techniques for growing such specimens. OOS Meetings provide the perfect opportunity to do that!

Phalaenopsis bellina The genetic sister (though not clone) to the Phal. bellina orchid above.

Now for one of our own North American orchids. This orchid was brought in by Mike, one of our conservation specialists, who said these “Rattlesnake” orchids can appear from Oklahoma northward. Notice the “rattle” of flowers on this intriguing plant.

The Rattlesnake Orchid, Goodyera oblongifolia

Thank you all for bring these beautiful orchids!
