The presentation at the 1:00 Greengrowers meeting will be “Important Lessons I Learned as a Beginner” by Keith Warren.  Keith grows orchids in a solarium attached to his home and has been a dedicated member of OOS since joining at the February 2013 meeting.

The 2:00 presentation will be by Eric Sauer on “The Genus Maxillaria”.    Eric is the proprietor of River Valley Orchids in Centerville, Ohio.  He has been growing orchids for over 30 years and specializes in South American Species.   He has received over 85 awards from the American Orchid Society and has three orchids named after him including two species from Ecuador.  Eric regularly works with other Maxillaria aficionados around the world to better understand the genus.  His  real job is as a registered landscape architect and is the planning manager for Five Rivers MetroParks in Dayton, Ohio.
